Creator's Note: I still haven't decided on how many of each type of card I want in the game. This list my change in the future.
Each page of card fronts should have a page of card backs proceeding them in the pdf. Each card accounts for bleed, including an extra 1/8 inch border of color on all sides. When actually printed and cut out, the cards should measure 2.5x3.5, the same as a regular deck of cards. Homemade cards are commonly printed out on heavy linen paper and stuck together.
Here are some links with different ways to print out cards:

Note: I haven't actually tried printing them out yet, and I've never printed out completed homemade cards before, so I don't know how they'll turn out. Once I do, I'll probably include more instructions on how. If the layout is bad, then I'll rearrange it.
Bumbling Bees: The Card Game About Bees
Players: 3-4
Setup
Now that you've printed out your cards, let me break down the rules, starting with the setup.
First, each player is given a "Hive Card" to represent themselves. These come in 4 different colors: red, yellow, green, and blue. These hives represent your character as well as your health in the game. By placing "Bee Cards" from your hand onto the table, you gain more hit points and are in less danger of being eliminated from the game.
The rest of the cards will form the deck. Before shuffling, remove anything from the deck with a hexagonal shape in the upper right corner.
These are what we'll call "Instant Cards." They take effect as soon as they're drawn from the deck, so obviously you can't have them in the pile while you're dealing cards.
Shuffle deck. Each player is dealt 5 cards. They can place as many bee cards in their hive as they want (note: once a bee is part of the hive and out of the player's hand, it cannot be used to make matches. On the other hand, if a player doesn’t have bees in their hive when under attack, they lose). Return the Instant Cards to the deck and shuffle again. The last player to be stung by a bee goes first.
How to Play
During a player's turn, they start off by playing as many cards from their hand as they want. This includes "Action Cards" such as skip, draw 2, etc, or they can use their Bee Cards. Bee Cards have multiple uses as listed on the card themselves:
- 1 of a kind: One may use a Bee Card to add to their defenses by laying it on the table with their hive.
- 2 of a kind: If someone has matching Bee Cards (2 Zom Bees, 2 Bumble Gums, etc) they can use their Bee Cards to steal a random card from another player. Once they've completed the action, they must only discard 1 of their matching 2 Bee Cards. The other Bee Card remains in their hand.
- 3 of a kind: If someone has 3 matching Bee Cards (3 Zom Bees, 3 Bumble Gums, etc) they can use their Bee Cards to attack another player's bees with a Bee Swarm. This attack will take out 3 bees from their opponent's hive. Once they've completed the action, they must only discard 2 of their matching 3 Bee Cards. The other Bee Cards remain in their hand.
At the end of a player's turn, they must draw a card from the deck.
If the card is a Bee Card, they can add it to their hive.
If the card is an Instant Card, they must carry out the instructions listed on the card.
Otherwise, they can just add the card to their hand. Once the card is drawn and any Instant Cards are enacted, the player ends their turn. The person on the player's left goes next.
End of Game
A player is knocked out of the game when they have no more bees left on the table and their hive is attacked directly. If a player has only 2 bees and their hive left but is attacked by another player with 3 matching bee cards, both bees and the hive are destroyed, and the player is eliminated.
The winner is the last hive left standing.
